Well, of course I don't want to upset the balance of this wonderful
resource. AND, I truly appreciate having a RedHat staffer here to answer
our questions and set the record straight. So, let's set the record straight.

Well, if you noticed I cross posted to a mailing list devoted to INN.
Unfortunately that list has about 2 messages a week. As to the nntp
newsgroups, I have heard there was a malicious cancellation which is why
that group has low traffic as well.

Point taken about the 99.9%. But, how about the fact that INN comes
*packaged* with RedHat??? The darn thing is included in the distribution,
rpm'd, etc. Certain config files and locations are modified from the
'pure' source by RedHat. For this reason I find a RedHat discussion group
a perfect place for discussion.

OK, I think many more people use sendmail. Where do we draw the line?

What about routing questions? Clearly these are not RedHat specific. I
could list others as well.

OK, I think I understand the tone of your posting. I too am annoyed when
a thread goes way off topic. My contention though is that when a package
is included in a RH distribution, especially one that is modified to work
with RH, then it is appropriate to discuss it on this list. If much
traffic develops then I agree, take it elsewhere. BTW, I am prepared to
offer majordomo services if the need arises.

Being election time, I bow to the desires of the others on this list.

(BTW, INN seems to be one of those 'secretive' apps. Sparse
documentation, few knowledgable users, etc. Seems odd to me, since I bet
all of us here read USENET from time to time, if not daily).
