[vlad@borg filter]$ xgal
xgal.sndsrv: Couldn't open DSP /dev/dsp
[vlad@borg filter]$ ls -l /dev/dsp
crw-rw--w- 1 root sys 14, 3 Apr 25 1995 /dev/dsp
(going to another nxterm where I am root)
[root@borg /etc]# chmod o+r /dev/dsp
[root@borg /etc]# ls -l /dev/dsp
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 14, 3 Apr 25 1995 /dev/dsp
[root@borg /etc]#
(going back)
[vlad@borg filter]$ xgal
(no error messages)
The only problem is that xgalaga takes 90 % of CPU
resources and mouse cursor becomes very jerky and
unresponsive. Anyone has it running smooth and multitasking?
