This could be not-quite-perfect termination, or it could be
a problem with the driver. You could try the kernel off the
alternate aic7xxx boot disk available from the same place you
got your updated disk. If that helps, you need to inform the
aic7xxx driver authors about your problem and let them know
that the version of the aic7xxx driver in 2.0.12 works, but
the newer one doesn't.

Sendmail is trying to figure out your domain name service.
Make sure that you have a line like
127.0.0.1 localhost
in /etc/hosts, and that /etc/host.conf has the line
order hosts,bind
in it.

It also needs to know that your monitor will support it.

The things I didn't respond to were because you didn't include
enough information. When you get an error message, post it
verbatim (unless, of course, it's several screenfuls or more...)
