Use the live CD, read your users manual, and get a book on Linux
(Running Linux by Matt Welsh and Lar Kaufman by O'Reilly & Associates,
Inc is a great one), and read this list... you'll learn a lot. Oh, and
if you don't mind a small security bug put . in your path, otherwise
type ./whatever to launch an application (provided your in the directory
where the program is). If you want to know where a program is use
locate (first execute updatedb as root), you'll learn all that stuff
from any good book.
