Hi, I've set *everything* with printtool. But my HP L5 laser
printer is still not working *properly* under my RedHat 3.0.3...
Problem: when I use 'lpr filename' to print a file, it outputs
a blank paper with the following two lines first...
--
t t
r rrr oooo
--
Then the second page is the thing which I really wanted to see...
The following is the printcape made by printtool:
------------- /etc/printcap ----------------
##PRINTTOOL## LOCAL ljet4 600x600 a4 {}
lp:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
:mx#0:\
:lp=/dev/lp1:\
:if=/var/spool/lpd/lp/filter:
---------------------------------------------
I've tried using 'laserjet', 'ljet4' and 'ljetplus' for Printer Type
and found 'ljet4' is the most ideal one.
So.. what's wrong? and what can I do?
Thank you very much!!!
regards,
Ferd
