Can't boot from boot.img floppy

I have a P166(intel triton III) / 64M (EDO 60ns) / (2.5G Quantum).
I am new to redhat and am unable to figure this out.
I am using the updated boot.img and it works on my old 386/40 without
any problems.
The LILO boot gets to:

The boot halts after the above line. This happens every time. The
system runs with dos6, win3.1 , win95, freebsd. Playing with the bios
setup has no effects as well.
Does anybody have any solutions. All ideas much appreciated.
