I have just upgraded my server to RedHat 4.0. I had a few problems along
the way, including:
The /etc/hosts file got overrun, without making a copy!
I get a TON of errors about the modules not matching the kernel after I
built a custom kernel. I followed the directions in the box, but it didn't
help.
I'd like to hear if anyone has gotten past this? I get a working system
despite the complaints (I guess I'm not using too much from modules). I
guess my next step is to build a non-modular kernel, containing only those
things I need, and see if that works out OK.
