Hey all,

Here's one that has me stumped.

Glint runs fine at first. It does querrying and everything dealing
with installed files fine. But when I try to look at what is available
(either off cd or upgrades I've downloaded) I get this error:

only packages with major numbers <= 2 are supported by this version of RPM

over and over (probably once for each package). I then get the error
box that says there are no RPMs in that directory. On top of this,
when checking the directory where I keep my updates (rather than the cd),
it proceeds to crash just before bring up this error box.

Ok. I remember seeing this error before. I think it was when I was
trying to install rpms packages with 2.0.11 when they had been
packaged with 2.2.x. But now I am using rpm-2.2.7. Besides, rpm
works fine from the command prompt.

I am using glint-2.1.4-1.

While I'm here, I might as well ask the question I was trying to use
glint to find out. What package contains the necessary progs to make
the /proc/net/ip_acct process. I went to use xosview the other day and
got this error:

Can not open file : /proc/net/ip_acct
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I checked and sure enough, there was no /proc/net/ip_acct. Any thoughts?

Thanks a ton for any help,

John Eikenberry
