: Greetings o'wise ones :)
:
: Please be paitent with probably easily fixable probs,i've only had linux
: running once before, about 2 years ago which was an old slackware
release.
:
: Since i've successfull installed RH 4.0 last night i've had heaps of
probs
: in just the few hours today i've been "playing"with it...
: I've installed some of the upgrades from RH and are working on the
rest...
:
: heres a few of the problems, i would've redir'd stdout but i can't get it
: to work under an xterm ie mxp > /dosc/errs.txt doesn't work, it creates
: errs.txt but the text come to the screen :( so heres abbreviated versions
: :)
:
: 1. xdoom : can't find 'libXt.so.3' . Where can i get this from ?
: 2. mxp: x error of failed request : BadMatch (invalid parameter
attributes)
: 3. exmh: xauth under MetroX??
: 4. and the most confusing , trying to recompile the kernel everything
goes
: sweetly and all of sudden "find_vma" errors crop up in mmap.c and
memory.c
: and it dies :( this is using pristine 2.0.18 source straight off the
CDROM.
:
: My system is a P166 /w Diamond 64 card under MetroX.
: Please help :)
