Thanks for your help, it did not work. It is still printing out garbage "t  ttttt ttttt" 
Ghostscript and nenscript have been installed and tried before I first posted my problem.

I guest Canon bj210 may require a  different driver than bj200.

here is what i did for my bj200 ... 

--make sure ghostscript and nenscript are installed

--configure local printing queue
--with control pannel
--add|local|:
--lp|ps|Postscript|Canon BJ-200ex (postscript)
--/var/spool/lpd/lp
--0
--/dev/lp1
--filter:bj200|360x360\letter

--edit /etc/printcap and add:
--
--	:sh:\
--	:sf:
--

with the queue name set above, you just need 'lpr file.ps' since ps is the 
default queue (lpr -Pps would work too)... nenscript should recognise 
postscript from regular ascii files, so lpr will work with both...
