Thanks, Tom.

I am not sure how I am going to manage this, but I'll try to work it out
over the next few days. I AM GETTING VERY IMPATIENT!! [wookie sound follows
uppercase yell]

Re: your question how can I send amil w/out dialing out? I have my old Mac
LC (a very primitive and underpowered computer that Apple released when the
design was already obsolete in a very un-Jobsian act of cynical
businessmanism) on the desk next to my new, fancy, high-powered, and much
larger Pentium 133 box. I can do all the Net stuff from here, albeit slowly
and on a tiny screen.... :) :( ;)

Cheers,
Chris

Postscript: Oh, by the way, to the more general readers of this group, I
posted my problems connecting the weekend before last on Saturday; well, in
New York that day we had much rain. My apartment had several leaks, some
wires in the wall shorted out, and I lost all the power to the room where
my computers are located. After a few days the electrician got me started
again. Unfortunately, some kind people had emailed me helpful suggestions,
and I either lost the emails or never had a chance to reply. I apologize to
all for that. I have always been impresssed by the knowledge and generosity
of the people on this list. As Chaucer said of the Clerk, one of the few
good ones wending to Canturbury, "gladly wolde he lerne and gladly teche."
I can think of no better thing to be said of one.
