Thank you yo all who have helped me get PPP working.
But now I would like to enhance it:

1) Where should I put my PPP script so that it gets invoked
at the proper time during system startup? That is - I
know I can place it in /etc/rc.d/init.d - but what I want
to know is where should it be placed so that proper system
initialization is done before hand, and all the nfs and
other programs assuming a network connection are done
   afterwards?

2) I would like to create a program that asks the user if
he/she wants to connect to the internet via PPP, and if
so, prompts for username, password, and runs ppp script
with the appropriate parameters. Has something like this
   already been written?

3) Are things like yp and appletalk needed if my only
network connection is via PPP - can I safetly remove
   these rpms?

                                        Thanks in advance:
                                        Michael J. Yanowitz
