I am trying to establish a SLIP connection from my new RedHat Linux
system into my network. I have tried it both through a script and
using "dip -t" to set up the modem. I have the setup for SLIP connection
with a direct IP address. When I connect I can see the USERNAME and PASSWORD
taken correctly, but as soon as I attempt a ping, the line comes crashing down.

Anyone have any bright ideas?

Thanks

Mike
