I've had no problems with the Buslogic cards in my 2 machines. I've
presently got a BT-958 Ultra Wide, but they also make a narrow version
of the card (BT-948 I believe). The BT-958 has been a very solid
card, as was the card in my old machine (VLB BT-445). Both of which
are well supported in all newer kernels. The BT-9x8 cards do need
either the 2.0.x kernel release, or an updated driver for use with the
1.2.13 kernel. If you have any other questions about it, let me know.
