at the boot: prompt you can type
linux mount root=/dev/???? rw

to boot your system in read-write mode if it is not being returned to rw
after fsck.

in place of ???? just put your root partition like sda1 or whatever.

It will ask if you want to do fsck anyway(even with partition in rw), tell
it no.
