Hi,
I just posted a question about the taper problem
Here I have a couple more -- that I do not know how
to fix.
1. Installed screen.rpm and latest patch for it --
does not work -- when typing screen -- nothing
happens I have to CTRL z and kill the screen process
(this program worked on 3.0.3)
2. Fvwm95 leaves traces when I move any text window around
(like command prompt or Xemacs) - I thought it may be
the X server problem (XF86_W32) and I downloaded latest
G version (beta) -- still the problem persists. I wish
I would know how to just disable move-in-place feature of
fvwm95.
3. When created a new user -- and logged in as that user
the prompt was meaningless (garbage string).
That problem I got fixed: I went back to user manager
and made sure that that user has bash shell.
4. This is just a question: what is TheNextStep thing?
Is it a window manager (I installed it) but I still get
fvwm95 window manager? ) Or is it an add on to the window
manager?
I have a clean install of RH 4.0 with applied latest patches
from the update directory.
Thanks in advance,
Vladislav
