Resolution to Lilo problems in upgrade to Colgate

I managed to solve my problems using the new 2940 image indicated in the
Colgate errata. LILO still wouldn't install, but I was able to use the boot
disk to boot into the system, and perform the steps outlined in the erratum,
with the addition of a recreation of the lilo.conf file which had been
deleted in one of the update attempts. Much work needs to be done before I
have a fully functional system (including all the changes in the errata), but
at least it's a start.

P.S. I didn't notice. Is there an SMP module for the Kernel in this release,
or will I have to get that from the Web.
