If you have xscreensaver installed already add this to .xinitrc or
.Xclients:
/usr/bin/X11/xscreensaver -no-splash -timeout 4 -cycle 15 &
Then restart and read the manpage on xscreensaver for different
options you may like better.
This times out in 4 minutes.
