Help! On my laptop (5.0 with some 5.1 and 5.2 updates),
I am having serious print problems. When I try to print to my
network printer I get "connect: No such file or directory". This
printer worked a few weeks ago, but has stopped working recently.

I upgraded to the latest findutils, rhs-print*, printtool*, and lpr 33
from
RedHat 5.2 -- still no luck.

The problem appears to be in common_source/startdaemon.c,
startdaemon(printer), as the result of a "connect" system call
returning an ENOENT (but the man page does not mention
connect returning an ENOENT).

The jobs get queued to the proper directory but never get sent to the
printer. I can print to the printer from my desktop 5.2 system with no
problems. Printer is an HP5SIMX with JetDirect. I am printing to
queue raw on the printer. My /etc/printcap is the same for the desktop
as for the laptop.

Thanks,
