The tkmc that came with RH 5.2 has never worked for us. If you try to
start it from a menu in a window manager nothing happens. If you type
tkmc in Xterm you get "/usr/lib/libtcl.so: undefined symbol: stat". I
have tried all the suggestions from this list and from RedHat support
and nothing works. I do not believe it is a problem with tkmc itself
since I uninstalled the version that came with 5.2 and installed the
version that came with 5.1 (which I know worked) and still got the same
error. Is there a way to modify the lib files to correct the problem?
Or any other suggestions? In the meantime I am using mc which works but
is not as nice as tkmc.
