You are going to have to fix it from the console, as root, I
am afraid. You can simply put in this line at the end of
/etc/rc.d/rc.local:
rm /etc/nologin
Of course, in your case, you cannot do this remotely....its
catch-22. You going to have to physically do it at the
computer. Bummer. Perhaps....just perhaps.....you might be
able to FTP the file over there, but I doubt that ftp will
allow you access to the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file for writing.
Worth trying, though.
