Arto,
There are many ways to install the compiler. If you have X
configured you could try starting it and using glint (assuming you have
it installed).
If you have the RH CD you could mount it and use glint (as root) to
look for available packages, then install the compiler and any
additional tools you want. Glint makes installation a pretty brain_dead
way of installing packages. Or you could use rpm to install it.
