# I need libforms.so.0.86 and 88, and when I go to where I think they
# should be, I don't find an XF86 version, only a.out and ELF. Do you
# know where they are?

Just to clear up an apparent misconception: a.out and ELF are types
of executables. a.out is basically obsolete (with some exceptions
still, I guess); modern Linux executables are all ELF format. XF86 just
refers to programs/libraries that run under XFree86, which
could be either a.out or ELF.

So if you have libforms.so.0.8{6,8}, you have what you said you need.

Fred
