I haven't used the XFCE window manager itself, but I'm running it's button
bar on top of my fvwm2 configuration - and I think that button bar is really
good and it's quite easy to configure the menu entries. Out of the box, it
only supports four virtual desks, though, which is why I patched it (I'm
using eight desks). It's also quite some colour hog (like most programs
today - somehow people seem to forget that there a re still quite a few 8bit
displays out there), but at least you can tell it to use a private colour
map.
My =A30.02,
Thomas
P.S.: Please switch off HTML when mailing to the list. It's really annoying,
IMO.
