I had the same problem. I tried to use /dev/ttyI0 instead of /dev/modem but
when I do this I get a message that my kernel lacks ppp support! However
when I use /dev/modem it starts ppp but after the PAP authentication only
bad packets are transmitted.
Can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong?! When I connect the ISDN
TA to a SUN-Sparc it works with the same settings the old analog modem used
to work! Why is it that complicated under Linux?
I really need to know this since my ISP is switching to ISDN only soon...
Thanks for your help!
Boris
Computers are actually powered by Chaos theory, not electricity...that
is just for the fan.
