I used to run AfterStep but I switched to XFCE2. Back then I could
have answered this question without a great deal of searching but not
now.  However... I know who you should ask (especially if you really
like AfterStep).

The AfterStep mailing list is pretty active and there's tons of
info... here are sources for you:

This isn't true in practice -- what we've missed out is Stradivarius's
