I double checked that. NT boots Ok, but not windows 98.
Well, windows 98 booted Ok when I connected the drive where it's in to
the primary onboard IDE port.
This is what I did to install windows 98:
1: disconnect my primary HD
2: connect the secondary HD to the primary (so that I could install
windows 98)
3: install windows 98
4: disconnect win98 drive from primary
5: connect win98 drive to secondary
6: reconnect NT's drive to primary port.
fdisk on /dev/hdd (where windows 98 is), shows an asterisk (*) on the
partition where windows 98 is installed.
So that's not it.
Another solution I did not try is to set the windows 98 drive as a
secondary slave.
Thanks anyway,
Leo
