We should all be concerned with any merger/aquisition that affects
the Linux market, especially one concerning a product that most people
that run Linux use daily.

Despite what many may think about AOL, bloated browsers,
new features, etc., what we all **should** do is to work WITH
Netscape (and hence AOL) to get a good, stable, cross-platform
compatible browser that uses **LESS** memory than Communicator
4.x....

I for one have only 32M on my laptop and 4.0.6 crawls if I open more
than a few windows. It sometimes crashes (using all CPU or memory),
and sometimes just sits there with all the windows not painted. Java is

not especially stable.

We need stable applications for Linux. My Linux laptop has not been
booted
since August, but Netscape is restarted several times a day.

My 2 cents!

Cheers,
