OK, lets look at the track record:
NS 2 was about 1.5 MB, took 10 seconds to load on a 486, and ran fine
in 8 MB.
NS 3 was about 4.5 MB, takes 30 seconds to load on a 486, and barely
runs in 8 MB.
NS 4.01 is over 6 MB, takes over 30 seconds to load on a K6/166, and
barely runs in 16 MB.
I hear 4.5 pretty well requires 32 MB.
So you're saying that NS 5 is, say, under 4 MB, loads in under 10 seconds on
a K6/166, and runs in 8 MB?
Requiring 32 MB is OK if that's the only program you're running (true, most
of us have at least 32 MB these days). But try running at the same time as,
say, Star Office, gimp, x-emacs, gcc, and gnu-chess (as I often do!), and see
how well it runs!
