Anyone have any information on how to get a Redhat 5.1 dialin server to
log the ppp users who connect in utmp and wtmp properly ? I have tried
modifying the login.config file, with no luck on the ppp portion.
The dialin itself works 100% of the time. Its the most reliable dial-in I
have worked with. In the past I used agetty, and it did the utmp stuff,
but would struggle with the modem locking up, etc. The only issue
I have with mgetty+sendfax is the accounting piece, not the performance or
reliability.
/etc/mgetty+sendfax/login.config
/AutoPPP/ - - /usr/sbin/pppd auth
(host: foxx) (user: jlarsen) (time= 11:08:10)
> ~ $ rpm -qa | grep mgetty
mgetty-1.1.14-2
mgetty-sendfax-1.1.14-2
mgetty-voice-1.1.14-2
TIA !
