Hi, I just upgraded my 5.1 to 5.2 and then decided to upgrade to kernel
2.0.36 proper from pre-patch 7 which ships with RH.

I have a P-II/333 with 128MB Ram and an Adaptech 2940w

I downloaded 2.0.36 from my local mirror
Did a make mrproper , make menuconfig. Modularized SCSI support
including the aic7xxx drivers and got in loopback support and init ram
disk support

make dep; make clean
make boot
make modules
rm -rf /lib/modules/2.0.36
make modules_install

/sbin/mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.0.36.img 2.0.36

Setup lilo correctly with boot and initrd pointing to the right place
/sbin/lilo -v

Now, when I reboot and launch 2.0.36 proper. I get the following error
Loading aic7xxx
/lib/modules : unresolved symbol : scsi_command_size
/lib/modules : unresolved symbol : scsi_unregister_module
/lib/modules : unresolved symbol : scsi_register_module
/lib/modules : unresolved symbol : scsi_register_mode
/lib/modules : unresolved symbol : scsi_unregister

Any ideas, where I could have gone wrong. Has anybody got 2.0.36
compiled and booting from source on a 5.2 box.

What should /boot/System.map and /lib/modules/preffered be pointing to
after make modules_install

Thanks, Yusuf
