Hi,

I haven't installed SO5 on Linux yet, but I did install it on Solaris.
AFAIK, you have to register twice. The first time before you download it to
get the registration which enables you to install it (mind you - if you
install it more than once you only need to download it once and get a new
registration key for each install). You'll then be able to use it for
30days, but it'll keep coming up with this dialog box at startup, asking to
register the second time. Once you've done that, it should run withour
further intervention.
In the Solaris version, the popup which opens at startup contained a button
to start the online registration. If you do so, you'll receive your xustomer
number.

HTH,

Thomas
