The best fix I've seen for this is to create an opt directory on a
partition you have more space on. I created mine as /usr/local/opt. Then
make a link from /opt to the new directory:

	ln -s /usr/local/opt /opt

I did this to install KDE from RPMs that installed to /opt and it worked fine.
