Another thing to try is the "cry me a river approach". Tell your ISP
something like your work requires that for people to get access to the
corporate network you need a static IP which they can allow through their
firewall. It worked for me 2/2 tries so far. :-)
Generally speaking, ISP's will give you a static if you have a real
business related reason.
