Log into another virtual terminal and bring up the file you want to copy.
Holding down the left mouse button, block the text to be copied. Release the
mouse.
Switch to your virtual terminal on which you're running pine. Put the
cursor where you want to paste the text and click the right mouse button.
Voila!
Cut-and-paste in console mode and tab completion are the two neatest
features of Linux for me. Oh, and opening multiple virtual consoles when I
need to. <g>
