Hey gang,
I just recompiled my kernel to use ipautofw masquerading.
But i'm getting an error when trying to enter a command such as this:
ipautofw -F
or
ipautofw -A -r udp 6970 7170 -c udp 7070
The error message is:
setsockopt: Protocol not available
Now, I have searched high and low for any sites that might help. The only
thing I could turn up was an archived email message from some guy
apparantly having the same problem. The message was in a foreign language
but the same error message was there in english. I didn't appear to contain
an answer
though. All other sites are redundant instructions on installing it, etc.
I could not find any bug listings, etc.
One other mention.
ipautofw is definitely not solidly written code although the docs that come
with
it don't even mention this.
I've viewed the source and can see that there is alot of command syntax
checking
missing (acutually it should be re-written altogether).
If you screw up the syntax your likely to get a segmentation fault.
I am sure this is already widely known due to the ease with which you can
make it happen.
Try this:
ipautofw -A -h
ipautofw -A -r t
