Hallo :)

I'm trying to set up a tiny network with DNS for the sake of practice. It
will be for internal use only. I've got one system loaded with RedHat 5.1,
kernel 2.0.35-2, bind 4.9.7. I managed to set up a cache only DNS without
trouble on 127.0.0.1, but when I tried to set up DNS to handle our small
network, I ran into trouble. I have the files root.cache, 127.0.0,
169.254.100 and Kendilson.com setup in /var/named and /var/named/pz as per
the HOWTO. I checked the messages logs to see if any errors were showing,
and all looks clear. However, when I use nslookup to check out the
settings, I can only get the IP from the hostname, not the reverse.
Sandy.Kendilson.com gets me 169.254.100.1, but It tells me domain/host does
not exist if I use the IP to get the hostname. 169.254.100.1 is the address
of the eth0 device in Sandy.Kendilson.com. The A records and PTR records
refering to Sandy.Kendilson.com look right to me, is there something I'm
just missing entirely here? Help! :)
