1. Your /dev/hda1 should be fat16, not fat32. Installation program
(precisely - kernel) does not recognize fat32 partition. In future you
can include fat32 support in your custom kernel. To convert your fat32
partition to fat16 with any lost of data you can use PartitionMagic
program.
2. Does your /dev/hda1 contain RedHat/base and RedHat/RPMS directories ?
