Is this a cross between "compatible" and "palatable?" Actually,
there have been a number of serious Logo and Icon contests for
Linux. Nothing with penguins.

Then, about two years ago, heavens opened up and the Voice of
Linus came down and said the PENGUIN was the logo of his choice.
Well, nobody liked it, but there it is. Dictated by the powers
above.

For me, I got to toying with the Penguin, but it came out somewhat
amateurish: It had a Penguin. Smoking a cigar clenched between
his teeth, and a mean look in his face, with frowning eyebrows.
Red Hat on his head, of course. And on his waistband, there was
a Revolver. You can picture it...and the implied threat of
"don't f*** with me!" Alas, I am not enough of an artist to
make a go of it.

But in the spirit of getting something going, here's the deal.
If ANYONE creates such a creature as described above, and I
like it, I will pay him $50 Fifty Dollars for it. I will put
in GPL for RedHatters or anyone to use. The other entrants
will get honorable mention. I don't WANT the wide-eyed,
docile looking penguin that looks timid and is just there
waiting to be EATEN by Microsoft. This penguin has to look
mean, and a tough contender! Couple of sizes: Logo and Icon.
