I guess the "test" for people is whether or not they're "with it" enough
to subscribe to a list like this and get help that way...
Much to the veterans' credit, I have ALWAYS gotten a helpful response that
at least sent me in the right direction within an hour of posting on this
or the FreeBSD mailing lists. So I guess that's really all we should need.
Those who aren't resourceful enough to at least be able to find out where
to go to solve a problem can stay on AOL I guess...
Just curious...is anyone on this list also on AOL? 8) Sorry...

Most computer users are, actually. I've heard that's a requirement for
being a computer nut -- it helps you want to make things as efficient as
possible. I guess those guys in Redmond must be real over-achievers!

How do I read a book through a browser? Is there some kind of conversion I
have to do? Can I just stick the book in my scanner or my disk drive? ;)

Absolutely!! I haven't been this excited about computers since I got my
first PC! Linux and FreeBSD have been a real godsend to me.
