Since I have mixed emotions about this thread, it is difficualt to argue with
either side in the debate. I do, however, want to remind that windows users
migrate to Linux with winmodem in hand. It is in their box already put there
by the major box makers in an effort to cut costs. Until that stops, there
will always be a use for winmodem drivers in Linux.
