Engineering Team Leader - OMNIS 7 for OS/2 Warp
Blyth R&D is looking for an experienced senior engineer/project
leader for our R&D staff. Initially, you will be responsible for
building an engineering team and leading development and product
delivery of the OMNIS 7 Edition for OS/2 Warp. Thereafter,
development lead responsibilities for you and your team will range
over all versions of OMNIS on all platforms and the development of
new products from Blyth Software.
The responsibilities for this position will include specifications
of user functionality, creating detailed design documents and
specifications, creating detailed development schedules and
tracking them through the lifecycle of the project, managing and
participating in all details of implementation, providing weekly
detailed status reports, participation in the fault review and
correction process, and end of project reviews.
Candidates for this position will have a B.S. in Computer Science
or equivalent experience, project lead experience in at least one
major product development effort, experience in hiring and molding
an engineering team, at least 5 years programming experience in C++
and experience in developing applications for OS/2 and one of
MS-Windows 3.1, Microsoft Windows-NT, or Macintosh O/S. The
successful candidate will also exhibit exceptional written and
verbal communications skills and be team-oriented and able to guide
a managed software process.
