Agenda: December 11, 1997
Our December meeting has traditionally featured reviews of toys, games and
other diversions, and this year is no exception. We'll have demos of a number
of native OS/2 games this month, plus the usual Q&A time, door prizes, and
yet another DooDad.
o Entrepreneur - World Domination through corporate warfare
Start a company, conquer the world. Entrepreneur is a real time
strategy game that derives its game elements from the real world.
Create new technologies, manufacture them faster than your oppponents,
and try to make sure your marketing can fend off the nasty rumors your
competitors may spread.

The world's most popular game is now on OS/2 with features that take
unique advantage of OS/2's powerful features. The ultimate golf game on
the ultimate platform brings high resolution graphics, great sound, and
incredible realism to the genre.
o Avarice
Avarice: The Final Saga, is OS/2's first true adventure game. It uses
OS/2's unique strength to deliver a game that boasts some of the best
graphics ever seen in a PC game on any platform. High resolution true
color graphics, challenging play, and an in-depth story make Avarice:
The Final Saga a true must-have for any adventurer.
o SimTown
Now you can build and run your own miniature towns! Put the roads
wherever you want. Build different houses, including log cabins, haunted
houses, and castles. Choose different businesses, including pizza
parlors, toy stores, video arcades and theaters! Watch your Sims-the
simulated citizens that live in your town-walk around, go about their
business and have fun.
o Toyland
Toyland is an ambitious puzzle game similar to the likes of "Sokoban",
"The Incredible Machine", and "Lemmings". T(r)oy, the hero of the game,
a wooden puppet, has to rescue his friends. He has to collect wooden
beads which are located in several places. To get these beads he has to
do such things as push balls, open doors, move chess pieces, and press
buttons to activate LEDs.
o This month's DooDad - My Yahoo! Java News Ticker
My Yahoo! Java News Ticker is a Java applet that provides a scrolling
display of news headlines and stock quotes. Customize your choice of
world, political, business, entertainment and sports news, as well as
create customized stock portfolios to track. Instant access to Yahoo!
searching and news stories.
