ProNews beta 3 is now available for download at http://www.panaceasoft.com. *New Features in Beta3* - Added a syntax highlighting article viewer to the program. What this means is that the quoted text, URLs, and email addresses in the articles you read will all be shown in different colors. URLs and email addresses can be clicked on for quick browsing or emailing. - ProNews will now highlight replies to your postings in the group windows. - International character set support has been added. Options for specifying a default codepage/charset for each group have also been added. - Added thread statistics to the program. You can now see at a glance how many children and unread children an article contains. - When replying to a message the email address is now placed into the entry field rather than the list box. This allows the easy editing of addresses to remove nospam portions. - It is now possible to filter on the number of cross references an article has. This is great for helping to remove spam. (See program filter help) - Crosspost support has been added. Articles read in one newsgroup will now be marked as read in all newsgroups. (This feature also marks articles unread in all if marked unread in one, and does the same or downloading, locking, deleting, etc.) In addition to these features a number of bug have been fixed and the UI tweaked in various places.
