Entrepreneur BETA 5 is now available!

You can get it via Stardock's website: http://www.stardock.com.

Enjoy!

If you are not already part of the beta program, here's some basic information
on the game (I'll include a "walk through" in the following post).

In Entrepreneur, you start a company, choose a job (engineer, researcher,
laborer, etc.) and a market (the game will come with a couple of markets such
as the computer industry, other markets will be made available later on by
Stardock as well as third parties).

You then begin researching new technologies, designing new products, building
them and selling them. You have to mix technological prowess with marketing
savvy while keeping an eye out for the changing mood of the market. Your
opponents have a wide variety of things they can do to help themselves as well
as hurt you. Everything from spreading FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) to
stealing your technology are things they may do to you.

Designed by the same group that created Galactic Civilizations, Entrepreneur,
like GalCiv, will have a top notch AI (Artificial Intelligence). However,
unlike GalCiv, Entrepreneur is also multiplayer over the LAN or Internet (even
in the betas). Also unlike GalCiv which is only on OS/2 Warp, Entrepreneur is
available on Windows95, Windows NT (4.0) as well as OS/2 Warp.

More information is available on Stardock's website: http://www.stardock.com.

We really think that many players will find Entrepreneur to fill in a missing
gaming niche. Trying to compare it to other games is difficult but I would say
that it is a bit of a mixture between MULE, Warcraft II, Risk, and Lords of
Conquest.

Like Galactic Civilizations, we hope to work closely with people on the
newsgroups to ensure that Entrepreneur is not only very solid but extremely
fun. Anyone out there who's bought a game recently probably knows the feeling
of wishing they'd had a public beta. :)
