Tony Rall, Senior Programmer, IBM Corp.
Network engineer and TCP/IP expert Tony Rall of IBM Almaden Labs will cover
several interesting topics including the following:
History of OS/2 TCP/IP
Different versions of OS/2 TCP/IP
Setting up a home LAN, and variations on this theme
Configuration and installation
About the Speaker
Tony Rall's official title at IBM is Senior Programmer although he considers
himself a network engineer. Tony does network support at Almaden, including
LANs, and interconnections to ISPs and other parts of the IBM network. He has
been in this role for six years.
We know of Tony through his frequent and helpful postings to the USENET
newsgroup comp.os.os2.networking.tcp-ip.
Directions To Meeting
Take the Sand Hill Road East exit off I-280. The second traffic light after
the one at the interchange is the entrance to SLAC. Turn right. Stop at the
guard house and tell the guard that you are going to the OS/2 Bay Area User
Group meeting. The Auditorium is in the central area of the complex and is
the building straight ahead of you when you are at the guard house.
Admission Fee:
General meetings are free for members and $3 for nonmembers.
