   This month's meeting will continue on the Web Technologies theme
   we started a few months ago when we covered LAMP (Part 1) - MySQL.

   AJAX is a JavaScript technique that has become required learning
   for anyone building the new generation of web applications.
   Behind all the hype is a practical workhorse that can actually
   make web applications more useful.

   -------------------------------------------------------------------

Subject: qRFCview: a viewer for IETF RFCs
From: David MENTRE <david.mentre@gmail.com>

Hello,

I'm pleased to announce the availability of qRFCview.

* What is qRFCView?

  qRFCView is a viewer for IETF RFCs. Advantages are:

    * automatic table of content, with direct opening of section;
    * handling of RFC internal cross-references;
    * automatic downloading of a referenced RFC from the IETF web site
      on a simple click;
    * caching of RFC in a local directory;
    * tab-browsing of RFC;
    * searching.

  It is available for Linux and Windows operating system (and
  potentially MacOS X). Current release is 0.62 and you can download it
  from BerliOS at http://developer.berlios.de/projects/qrfcview/.

* How to install it?

  qRFCView requires the Trolltech Qt4 library that is available under
  MAC OS, Windows and Linux platforms. Trolltech's dual license policy
  provides versions of Qt under the terms of the GNU General Public
  License (GPL). It can be downloaded from
    http://www.trolltech.com/products/qt/downloads.

  The Windows installer contains needed libraries. It is available at:
    http://developer.berlios.de/project/showfiles.php?group_id=7014

* How to use it?

  Just start it. Use "File>Load RFC..." to load a RFC by its number.

  Double-click on a table of content item to open the corresponding
  section. Internal links and referenced RFCs are active hyperlinks,
  underlined in blue.

  One can set the default directories where RFC files are saved using
  "Edit>Set Directories...".

* License

  qRFCView is free software, licensed under GNU GPL (see LICENSE file).

* Contact

  qRFCView has been developped at Mitsubishi Electric, ITE-TCL,
  France. qRFCView developer is Romain ROLLET <rfcview@gmail.com>.

From: Meta <metagroboliser@netscape.net>
Subject: [Announce] XenMan v0.4 is now available.

XenMan's second release, v0.4 is now available for download at
xenman.sf.net. This release brings LVM support along with numerous
bugfixes and stability improvements. The changelog is listed below.

UPDATE:

XenMan 0.4.1 adds OpenSUSE support to the 0.4 release and is now available.

cheers.

=============================

Changes in v0.4:

- LVM support added. Logical Volumes are now supported for domain
   creation. Set the 'use_lvm' property in xenman.conf to False if the
   environment doesn't support lvm2.

- Create Domain now does a 'sticky' installation. New domains created
   via XenMan now use the ramdisk deployed in the VM's disk image to
   boot. This requires pyGrub to be present in the environment. Use the
   'bootloader' property to set the correct path if the defaults fail.

- Duplicate domain cleanup. Specifying a pre-existing domain name
   during Create Domain will clean up any leftover domain configuration
   files and/or disk images after prompting for permission. Use this
   only for domains created using XenMan.

- Domains added to the left hand side list (either as a result of
   "Create Domain" or "Open Domain File") now persist in the
   configuration file until removed via the appropriate menu item.

- Pausing a domain now removes the terminal widget from the notetbook
   tab to avoid accidentally queuing some keyboard input while paused.

- A new Information tab that allows you to see configuration information
   about selected Domain.

- Added new menu items 'Edit' and 'Action.' Also, a richer right-click
   menu for the domain list on the LHS is now available.

- Fixed crashes to desktop resulting from problematic domain launches
   in some scenarios.
