I have just uploaded binaries for the latest release of gated from
Cornell University.

Cornell now provides full documentation in html format and this can
be access at gated.cornell.edu in the directory gated-R3_5Alpha_10/doc.
Start at main.html.

This binary release includes a new sample gated.conf for the new 
default RIP behaviour over P2P connections. It seems to work for me.
