From: Chris Lowth <chris@lowth.com>
Subject: IpTables ROPE - Versions 20050524

The iptables ROPE module allows users to write IP packet matching logic
using a simple and safe scripting language. Scripts are installed into
the Linux kernel using the iptables command and have "read-only" access
to all the packet header fields and the data payload. Example scripts
are povided to block Gnutella, block Bittorrent and block large HTTP
downloads.

The 20050525 release supplies the following changes..

1. the "rddump" utility has been generalised to handle output from more
recent versions of tcpdump.
2. the "bittorrent.rope" script now identifies .torrent file downloads
as well as protocol setup packets.

For documentation, tutorial, dowloads and sample scripts, vist the ROPE
project home page at: http://www.lowth.com/rope.
