I have uploaded a new copy of SafeDelete to sunsite.unc.edu. It is in
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/Incoming/ until it gets moved to its
proper place:
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/utils/shell/safedelete-1.0.tar.gz
There is a bug when attempting to delete a symbolic link when the target
file does not exist. SafeDelete incorrectly tries to follow the link and
gives a "file not found" message. The fix will prevent this from happening.
A rather major bug was also fixed. When using undelete to recover a
safedeleted file and another file with the same name already exists, undelete
will get a segmentation fault. This only happens when using the command line
interface. The ncurses interface processes the collision correctly.
These fixes are released as version 1.0a. Issue 'safedelete --version' to
make sure you have the correct release.
